Miss Taylor's views

I brought my year 8 English class to the CLC in South Camden as part of the BBC school news report. Matthew Green accompanied the students and myself on the bus and Hollie was fanatstic at giving us directions as neither me nor Mr Green could read the map!

When we arrived at the CLC, Nic Miles gave us clear instrucions about how the day would run and what each of the reporters were expected to do. The Students spent the morning researching a variety of news stories, from political to international; sports, to local. After researching their stories they wrote their own versions. These would become scripts to be used later in the day.

We went to the park for lunch, the break was well deserved- I'm not sure how Ms Byrne manages on PHSE days, I was exhausted!

We returned to the CLC to compile the day's stories. Students recorded the stories they had written and filmed them in front of a green screen, their scripts were placed into a computer which the students read from like an auto cue.

After this students returned to the computer suites to write or up load their blogs. Mr Wadmore then came to collect us and escort us back to Haverstock. The students are able to go home and share with their parents and carers their blogs on the world wide web.
I'll just be happy with a cup of tea!

Mp bugged at Milton Keynes prison

A ex police intelligence officer mark Kearney claims that he bugged a mp’s interview to a prisoner.

Mr Kearney a former police intelligence officer at Woodhill prison Milton Keynes said that he did not want to bug the mp sadiq khan but that he was put under “significant presher by the met police to do so”.

It is also said that it was Mr Kearney was the one who leaked this information to the papers but Mr Kearney has not admitted to these charges

But the home office was not informed of this event until December and that the bbc found out that the home sectary’s Jacqui Smith and the justices sectary jack straw had not been aware until the Sunday times released the report this weekend

Mr Kearney also quoted that “ I'm shocked and disgusted by this leakage to the media - I believe it puts my life and safety at risk

The debate now will focus on whether political surveillance is returning, or whether MPs - like us all - should be liable to be bugged if there is a perceived threat to national security.

And that the political editor nick Robinson also stated

The debate now will focus on whether political surveillance is returning, or whether MPs - like us all - should be liable to be bugged if there is a perceived threat to national security.
